Plum Jam Drop Cookies

Here is a beautiful recipe for these adorable heart-shaped sugar cookies using our Blood Plum Jam! We hope you try it 💜

You will need
– a small heart-shaped cookie cutter
– large round cookie cutter (or a glass/mug would work if you don’t have one)
– baking paper


❤️ Urban Forager Blood Plum Jam

❤️ 3 cups all-purpose flour
❤️ 1 ¼ teaspoons baking powder
❤️ ¾ teaspoon salt
❤️ 1 ½ cups raw sugar
❤️ ¾ cup butter, softened
❤️ 2 eggs
❤️ 1 teaspoon vanilla extract


  1. Line an oven tray with baking paper and set aside
  2. Combine flour, baking powder and salt in a bowl & set aside.
  3. Beat butter and sugar until fluffy in a large bowl. Mix in eggs and vanilla until well blended. Gradually beat flour mixture into butter mixture until smooth.
  4. Divide dough in half; shape into 2 flat disks. Place dough in a container and cover, refrigerate for 30 minutes to 1 hour or until firm enough to roll.
  5. Preheat oven to 190°C. Roll out dough 3mm thick on a lightly floured surface. Cut dough with the large cookie cutter. Cut centres out of half of the cookies with the smaller heart-shaped cutter.
  6. Place cookies 3cm apart on baking paper or a non-stick foil-lined cookie sheet. Bake for 6-8 minutes.
  7. Once cooled, spread 1 teaspoon of Urban Forager Blood Plum jam over whole cookies. Top with remaining cut-out cookies, sandwich style.
  8. Pop it into the mouth of a loved one and enjoy!
